Recently the NMMA, National Marine Manufacturers Association, reported that the US boating industry, is seeing the highest sales in nearly a decade. Sales of yachts (33’ and higher) saw gains of 3.5 percent, reaching a seven-year high of 1,715 units in 2016. BOAT International reported over 100 sales of yachts over 78 feet in the first quarter of 2017, up 8% from 2015. When in the market to purchase or sell a larger vessel, utilizing the services of a yacht broker will help navigate the sometimes lengthy and involved process.
One of our favorite safety devices is the Throw Raft. It’s definitely a product that proves big things do come in small packages. While it does not take the place of a wearable PFD or a Life Raft, the Throw Raft has many benefits suited for kayakers and boaters on inland or near shore waters.
OK. This headline is in no way sarcastic. Read it as it is sounding in my head. “Have Fun (while you are at the same time) Saving the Planet.” Since our planet is made up by two-thirds of water, let’s just focus on that part. As a boater and recreational fisherman I’ve been taught to respect our waterways and all the life living within. In fact, most all boaters and fishermen I know following common sense environmental and conservation guidelines. It’s not that difficult and, in reality, has made our sport more enjoyable.
