Dancing with fish? Do the Jig!

Published March 2nd, 2016 by Bernardo

Jigging is the practice of vertical fishing with a lure where you create a up & down jerking motion to attract the fish. Ideally the fisherman uses a rod with enough sensitivity to feel contact with the lure and ultimately the strike of the fish. Most fish are caught near the bottom. Most jigs can be used in a variety of waters, both fresh and salt, and in a variety of conditions. And many different species of fish are attracted to jigs, which is why jigging is growing in popularity among anglers of all types.
