These flatboats make for appealing options for anyone interested in fishing boats. Sterling Flats Boats are made in Groveland, and everything about them is fine tuned for Florida waters. These boats offer classic lines that reflect extraordinary craftsmanship. When the founders started making Sterling Flats fishing boats, they had a simple but uncompromising mission:

To create the world’s finest flats boats… the most innovative, best engineered, and intensely satisfying boats imaginable.

That’s a lofty goal, but the skilled boatmakers behind these vessels have been going above and beyond for roughly two decades now. Their creative vision evolves quickly and naturally over time with no holds barred, even as they stay true to their vision. The engineering of these flatboats is driven by passion, patience, and perseverance. Boat owners enjoy explosive designs featuring cutting edge concepts and state of the art technology that surpasses conventional trends.

Sterling Flats Boats is playing a role in the “American marine revolution.” Since the original Sterling launched in 2001, they’ve continued to put new and innovative boats onto the water. That revolutionary tradition continues with the introduction of new Second Generation Sterling Flats Boats.

Which Model of Sterling Flats Boats to Choose

Once you’ve decided that Sterling Flats Boats are for you, it’s time to select the appropriate model for your lifestyle. Here at Nautical Ventures Marine Center, we currently have three different models available. Choose whichever appeals to you to ensure you’re getting something that’s the best match for what you’re looking for.

Sterling Flats 220XS

The 220XS is just under 22 feet in length, with a beam of eight feet and two inches. It’s rated for a maximum of 300 horsepower. These fishing boats have great features like a 15-gallon console baitwell, a 45-gallon release well, and a cast net box with an automatic pump. Take advantage of the front storage box and dry storage to keep your phone and other valuables safe. The poling platform has two-rod holders, and the deluxe console keeps you in control.

Sterling Flats 200XS

Opt for the 200XS if you want something slightly smaller. The beam is the same width as the beam of the 220XS, but the Sterling Flats 200XS is only 20 feet in length. With a maximum horsepower of 250 horsepower, this is one of the best fishing boats for navigating tight spaces to get to your favorite casting spot.

It has many of the same features people count on from other Sterling Flats Boats, including the following and more:

  • Anchor Storage
  • Front Storage Box
  • Castnet Box With Automatic Pump
  • 15 Gallon Console Bait Well
  • Deluxe Console
  • 35 Gallon release Well
  • Dry Storage Box
  • Poling Platform With Two Rod Holders

Sterling Flats 180TS

The 180TS has a length of 18 feet and three inches, a beam of seven feet and four inches, and a draft of nine to 10 inches. It’s rated for a maximum horsepower of 150, and you can take advantage of the 35-gallon fuel capacity to take day-long fishing trips. Some features of this boat had to be downsized slightly. For example, the console baitwell has been reduced to 10 gallons.

Sterling Flats TR7

This is the smallest and most nimble fishing boat produced by Sterling. The maximum horsepower of 115 is more than enough for this boat that measures only 17 feet in length with a seven-foot beam and four inches. The draft is only five or six inches deep, making it one of the best fishing boats for shallow waters.

Take this boat into the shallows in pursuit of your next catch while taking advantage of all of the following features and more:

  • Anchor Storage Box
  • Front Storage Box
  • Cast Net Box With Automatic Pump
  • 10 Gallon Console Bait Well
  • Deluxe Console
  • 25 Gallon Release Well
  • Dry Storage
  • Poling Platform With Two Rod Holders
