Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Nautical Ventures Group sold 32 Starcraft and four Tidewater boats to a local boat club in a deal valued at more than $1.7 million.
A non-disclosure agreement prevents any other details about the buyer.
The sale represents the dealership’s largest multi-unit sale to date and provides a model to sell to other interested boat clubs.
“We all know that during the Covid crisis boat sales are up industry-wide by over 50 percent,” said Nautical Ventures CEO Roger Moore in a statement. “But boat club memberships have skyrocketed in 2020 and are up nationwide over 400 percent. I think we may have hit upon a program that other boat clubs can benefit from.”
Doug Lanham, Southeast district sales manager of Smoker Craft — the builder for Starcraft Boats — said the final phase of delivery should be completed by January.
“Considering the pressure put on new boat construction these days, we are pleased with the progress being made to meet this order, and we credit Nautical Ventures for mediating the demands of the club in an orderly and professional manner,” said Lanham.
