When McLaren Cars and Boeing Aircraft Corporation decided to use carbon fiber in some of their newest designs, there was a reason. Carbon fiber helps to create a lighter, stronger and stiffer body, yet easily molded to any shape. So it's only natural that this technology will eventually make its way into the boat building world. Sometime in 2016, Buddy Davis will be introducing their new 42 foot center which will be the first boat of its kind in the world to be made 100% of carbon fiber. Century Boats is America's Oldest Boat Company

Century Boat Company was founded in 1926. In 1928, the company moved to Manistee, Michigan where it remained for over 60 years. In the 1940's, Century was awarded a government contract to manufacture 3600 boats for World War II and received the Army-Navy 'E' Citation for high achievement in production.
